Bandicot no longer quits a few seconds after you open a project
Opening another project could make Bandicot's engine stop about five seconds later. It now keeps running, and its wake-ups are safer.
When you opened a different project, the background check that watches it reset everything it knew, including the lock it was holding at that moment. A few seconds later the engine stopped. It now forgets only what it knew about the old project and keeps the lock.
The engine's own wake-up signals, used when another Mac answers or when this Mac hands work over before sleeping, could also trip when two waited at once. They now use a counter that any number of waits can share.
