Versions skips what git ignores
Versions now leaves out build output, logs and anything else your .gitignore names, and still keeps every file it or git already holds.
In a project with a .gitignore, Versions now follows the same rules git does: build folders, logs, caches and anything else the project ignores stay out of its history. History stays small and the timeline shows only work that matters.
Nothing you already have is lost. A file Versions already keeps, or one git tracks even though a rule matches it, is still recorded. A file an agent writes on purpose is always recorded, so undo stays safe.
Projects that started before this change move over on their own, once, the next time they open. The timeline shows a single entry saying so.
