Versions catches teammates up faster
A teammate who was away gets caught up on a shared folder about twice as fast, and Sync shows how long this Mac spent preparing what they asked for.
Faster catch-up
Each saved version stores its file list as a small change on the one before. Sending a teammate many versions used to rebuild the whole list twice for every version. Versions now keeps the last two lists it rebuilt and reuses them, so each one is built once.
Catching a teammate up on 61 versions of a 2,000-file folder took about 580 ms before and about 250 ms now, measured on this Mac.
Preparing time on Sync
The Sync line already counted bytes in and out. It now adds how many milliseconds this Mac spent preparing what teammates asked for, so a slow catch-up shows whether preparing or sending was the cost.
Tested against a bad network
A new test runs three shared folders through eight seeded rounds where messages are dropped, sent twice and arrive out of order. Every folder ends with the same files and no false conflicts.
