A new name reaches your whole team
Change the name you go by and every member of your teams sees it, even after a restart.
Changing your name used to change it only on your own Mac. Your teammates kept seeing the old one.
Now the new name goes to every team you are in. The latest name always wins, and it stays after your teammates restart.
