Invite links can no longer be redirected
Each invite link is signed by the team that made it, so a link changed on its way is turned down before your Mac contacts anyone.
An invite link says which Mac to ask to join. That part was not protected, so someone who handled the link could have pointed it at their own Mac.
Every new link is now signed by the team. Bandicot checks the signature before it asks anyone, and asks for a fresh link when one was changed or came from an older version.
