Side panes say what they are waiting for
The Terminal pane says it is opening while it loads, and Side chat says when it is not connected yet, instead of showing an empty panel.
Two panes in the right sidebar could show nothing at all: Terminal while its code was still loading, and Side chat before the session was ready.
Both now say what they are waiting for, so an empty panel never looks broken.
