Inventory opens straight away, with its tabs in the left pane

Inventory no longer waits on the rest of the app to open. Its tabs now sit in the left pane, grouped by what you can do, and scroll like the work sidebar.

Inventory could stay on "Reading the inventory" because it waited for the whole window to finish starting, and that can keep retrying while a long task holds the engine. It now asks the engine as soon as the window is connected, and if no answer comes within 20 seconds it says so and offers Try again.

The two rows of tabs across the top are gone. The left pane now carries one row of tabs that behaves like the one in the work session's right sidebar: it folds to icons when the names do not fit, scrolls sideways smoothly with faded ends, and keeps the open tab in view. The tabs come in five groups: what every new session starts with (skills, connectors, developer servers, past sessions), what is installed on this Mac, what is built in and view only, what the agent remembers, and Explore for finding more. Saved loadouts show only beside the tabs that shape new sessions.
