Long chats summarize at the right moment, without flashing
Chats on a Claude account no longer try to summarize after every reply, and a summary that cannot start stays out of the way.
On a Claude account, Bandicot misread how full a chat was and tried to summarize it after nearly every reply, showing a compacting note again and again. It now measures the chat itself, so a summary happens only when the chat is really long.
When a summary cannot start, Bandicot notes why and waits for the chat to grow instead of trying again at once. You only see a compacting note when you ask for one or when it is really running.
