A cancelled join stays cancelled
If you cancel joining a team and the request still arrives late, the team turns it down, so nobody is let in after they changed their mind.
Asking to join and cancelling can travel by different roads, so the cancel can land first. The team now remembers recent cancels and refuses a join that comes in after its own cancel.
