Use only Versions, and git can come back
Ask the agent to stop using git in a project. The git history moves into Bandicot's storage, and comes back exactly as it was when you want it.
Some projects start with git but you no longer want it around. Ask the agent to stop using git, and it first shows what will happen: where git stands, how many files its history holds and how big that is. Nothing moves until you say yes.
After you confirm, Bandicot copies the hidden git folder into its own private storage, checks that the copy is exact, and only then takes the folder out of the project. Your files are not touched, and Versions keeps the history from then on.
When you want git back, ask to use git again. The saved history goes back into the project exactly as it was, with your commits, branches and tags, and Bandicot removes its own copy only after checking the restored folder. It never happens on its own, and if a move is cut short, the next time you ask it puts things right.
