Talk to Bandicot, offline

Hold the mic or press ⌥⌘T and say what you need in English or Spanish. Your Mac hears it offline and sends only your own voice to the agent.

Speak, and it starts

Hold the mic, or press ⌥⌘T, and a small window opens above the prompt bar. The agent starts when you pause, and anything you add while it works reaches it at its next step.

Everything is heard on this Mac, offline. The first start after an install can take about 40 seconds while the speech models are prepared, and the window says so. Voice needs macOS 14 or later.

Stop, wait, yes

Say “stop” or “para” and the run ends about half a second after you finish the word, even long after you last spoke. “Wait” holds it before its next step, and “yes” or “no” answers an approval that was already showing when you began to speak.

A lone “wait” or “yes” with nothing running is ignored, so it never starts a run by itself.

Only your voice

When someone else talks nearby, their words show struck through and are never sent, and speech the Mac cannot place is shown but not sent either. Where this Mac cannot tell voices apart, the window says so.

Your voice is used only to write what you said, and each sentence's audio is dropped as soon as its words are written. Each time you open the window, Bandicot takes the first voice it hears as yours and learns it in memory, without recording it, so speak first.

The microphone closes with the window, when you switch away, or when the app reloads.
