Loops for profiles, Orbits for projects, Pebbles for sessions

The creatures are gone. Each profile, project and session now has a small, still mark drawn from a hand-picked set, so you can tell them apart in a sidebar row.

Design

Three families, one for each kind of thing

A profile is a Loop: one unbroken pen line that draws an eye and curls into its pupil. There are six: Eye, Spiral, Pair, Chart, Pin and Dart. You pick one when you add a profile and can change it any time on the Profile page in Settings; every profile made before today is given one from the set and keeps it.

A project is an Orbit: a ring and a dot of attention, drawn a little heavier. Seven are in the set, from a plain orbit to a year of twelve months with one month replaced by the dot, a ring pressed in by the dot, and a single brush stroke that ends in a full stop.

A session is a Pebble: a soft stone in one of five colours with a few small dark dots. Pebbles are the only marks in colour, so sessions stand out from the ink of profiles and projects in the sidebar.

Double-click a session, or choose Project profile from the project menu, to pick a different Pebble or Orbit; the sidebar shows the one you chose everywhere it is listed. The website now draws people, projects and sessions with the same marks.

Still, and the same every time

Until you choose one, a project or session's mark comes from its id, so it wears the same mark on every launch and on every Mac. Loops and Orbits take the colour of the text around them, so they read in light and dark themes alike. The marks hold still for now; how they should move, and what they should show about state, comes next.
